You can add stock photos or uploaded images from your device as a background. Here’s how to go about it.
On laptop
Here’s how to add an image as a background from your laptop.
Adding a stock photo as a background image
To add a stock photo as a background, open a template from the gallery, like this travel poster, or start one from scratch.
In the left menu, hover over ‘Background’. Select ‘Stock Photo’ from the drop-down menu.
Search for a relevant keyword. Select an image to set as the template background.
You will be prompted to crop the image to fit the design’s dimensions. Move the crop box to suit your needs. Click ‘Crop’ to set the image as background.
The image you selected has now replaced the existing background of the template.
Adding an uploaded image as a background image
To add an uploaded image from your device as a background, first open a template from the gallery, like the same travel template or start one from scratch.
In the left menu, hover over ‘Background’ and select ‘My Backgrounds’.
All your previously uploaded backgrounds will show up on this menu. You can also upload a new background image from your device by clicking either of the two ‘Upload Background’ buttons.
Select the image you want to set as background.
Crop the image in the next menu to fit the design dimensions. Click ‘Crop’ once you are satisfied.
Your uploaded image is now the background of your chosen template.
On phone

On the top bar, tap ‘Add’ to open a drop-down menu. Tap ‘Background’ and select ‘Stock Photo’.

All your previously uploaded backgrounds will show up on this menu. You can also upload a new background image from your device by tapping ‘Upload Background’, and then ‘Photo Library’ or ‘Choose files’.
Select the image you want to set as background from your device’s gallery or files. Tap ‘Add’.
Crop the image in the next menu to fit the design dimensions. Tap ‘Crop’ once you are satisfied.
Your uploaded image is now the background of your chosen template.
