Can I record my audio and use it in my design?

You can record, save, edit then use your audio on your PosterMyWall designs. Use the Audio and Video Recorder to record audio via your laptop webcam or mobile phone. Use the Audio and Video Recorder to:

  1. Record a TikTok or Reel, and upload instantly.
  2. Create a product or service showcase, or simply talk about any topic.
  3. Send a quick greeting or wish.
  4. Make your content more engaging with a video
  5. Add your own audio to any design.

Note: The Audio and Video Recorder is completely free to use.

Here's how you can record audio

  1. Open your design in the PosterMyWall editor. It can be a template from the gallery or a design created from scratch.
  2. Click the 'Record' button on the left menu. Click 'Audio' from the expanded options to record your audio.
If you haven't used the Audio and Video Recorder before, you will be asked to give permission to PosterMyWall to use your webcam. Approve this request to record your audio.
  3. Use the red microphone button to start recording your audio. Click the pause button to pause recording. Click the play button to continue recording. Click 'Done' to finish recording.
  4. If you're not satisfied with your first recording, you can discard it and record another one by clicking on "Retake audio".

5. Click 'Add to design' after stopping the audio to add it to your design.

Note: Recorded audio is also saved for later use in your 'My uploads'.

On mobile

  1. Open your design in the PosterMyWall editor. It can be a template from the gallery or a design created from scratch.
  2. Click the 'Add' button.
  3. Select 'Record' from the expanded options. Click 'Audio' from the expanded options to record your audio.
  4. Click the red microphone button to record audio. You may be required to give PosterMyWall permission to use your microphone. Approve this request to start using your microphone.
  5. Click the pause button to pause recording. Click the play button to continue recording. Click 'Done' to finish recording.
  6. Click 'Add to design' after stopping the video to add it to your design. Otherwise use the 'retake audio' to try again.

Once you add the audio in your design, you'll be able to access the Timeline editor. You can use this to trim and stack/arrange multiple audio tracks. For example, you can add background music to your audio by making them play simultaneously.

Plus, you can use the options on the right-side panel to edit your recording. You can duplicate, delete, replace, adjust the volume and speed of, or apply fade-in and fade-out effects to your audio tracks.

The fade-in effect gradually increases the audio volume from silence to its normal level. It's commonly used at the beginning of a track or segment to smoothly introduce the sound, avoiding an abrupt start. Fade-out, on the other hand, gradually decreases the audio volume from its normal level to silence. It's typically used at the end of a track to create a smooth, natural ending, avoiding a sharp cutoff.
