Your designs can be uploaded directly to social media from your My Stuff page. You can create posts for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and these can be shared across multiple channels. This means you can share your design to multiple pages and groups on Facebook, and your Twitter account at the same time.
Create a social media post through your My Stuff
Here we will explain how you can publish your post on social media via the My Stuff page.
- Go to your My Stuff. Click on the design you want to publish to preview it.
- Click ‘Publish’ and choose ‘Social Media’ from the list of publishing options that appear.
- Select the social media site where you want to publish your design. You can post on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Click on ‘Connect’ to link your profile/page of the chosen social media site to PosterMyWall.
If you choose Facebook or Instagram, you will be able to connect your Instagram business profile, Facebook page, and Facebook group(s) administered by you all in one go.
- Then you’ll be asked for posting permissions on behalf of the social media platform you chose. Social media publishing might not work properly unless all requested permissions are granted.
- Select the accounts where you want to publish your content. Users with a free basic account can select up to two accounts for publishing, while Premium and Premium subscribers can select an unlimited number of accounts for publishing.
PosterMyWall’s publishing suite allows you to publish your designs to all connected social media accounts simultaneously.
If you wish to edit your design at this stage, click on the ‘Edit design’ button given under your design.
Once you have saved the edits to your design (if any) and selected accounts for publishing, click ‘Next’.
- Add a caption to your post. If you’re posting a video, you’ll also need to add a title to the video.
- If you want to publish your post immediately, click on ‘Publish’. You can also schedule your post by clicking the calendar icon beside the publish button.
You can view your published and scheduled posts in the ‘My social posts’ tab on the My Stuff page and the Content Planner. Use the Content Planner to review older content and plan for the future.
How to post on social media using PosterMyWall mobile app
Sharing your designs on social media is simple and convenient with the PosterMyWall mobile app. Here’s how you can publish your posts directly from your mobile device:
- Open the design you want to share and tap on the ‘Publish’ button (arrow on the top right corner) and select ‘Social Media’ from the options that appear.
- Select the social media site you want to publish to. You can choose from a variety of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Tap ‘Connect’ to link your chosen social media profile or page to PosterMyWall. For Facebook and Instagram, you can connect multiple pages and groups at once.
- Follow the prompts to grant the necessary permissions for posting on your selected platform. Premium subscribers can select 3, while Premium Plus subscribers can select an unlimited number.
- Enter a caption for your post or use our AI caption writer to help you! If you’re sharing a video, don’t forget to add a title.
- To publish immediately, tap ‘Publish.’ To save as draft or schedule your post for later, tap the three dots icon beside the publish button.
Auto-resize for social media posts
While posting on multiple social media platforms at the same time, you can adjust the post size with the click of a button on the captions page. Note: If the post is already sized accurately for your social media platform, the auto-resize option will not appear.
Publishing costs
Publishing (and scheduling) on social media is not free, though if you've purchased the design you need to post, then it's free. Here's how it works.
If you're not subscribed to PosterMyWall Premium or Premium plus, you can still publish your designs for free, however the published design will have a watermark. However, you can avoid this by purchasing the design in advance, or by using the 'pay and publish' option in the publishing interface. Content with GettyImages cost an additional $2 to purchase and post.
If you want to publish without paying, just use the slider, as highlighted below.
For Premium and Premium Plus subscribers, all images and videos are free to post, and will not contain a watermark.
On the free basic account, you can add 1 social media account to post from.
As a Premium subscriber, you can add up to 3 social media accounts to post from.
As a Premium Plus subscriber, you can add any number of social media accounts to post from.
