How to embed your PosterMyWall events schedule on your website

Note: If you're new to PosterMyWall Events, you can create on immediately here. 

Want to showcase your events schedule on your website? PosterMyWall makes it super simple. 

Head on over to the Events section of your account’s My Stuff and:

1. Open the ‘Events Schedule’ tab
2. Click on ‘Embed’
3. Tap the ‘Copy code’ button to add the HTML snippet of your events schedule to your clipboard.

A similar embedding option is also available for your individual events. To access it: 

1. Click the ‘Promote’ arrow button next to the event in the Events section of your My Stuff. The Promote button can also be accessed by clicking on the three vertical dots next to an event.

Note: The Promote feature is only available for current or future events, but not for past events.

2. Next, click on the ‘Embed event’ button. 

3. This will reveal the HTML Snippet for the event page. Copy the snippet by clicking the ‘Copy code’ button.

Now, let’s take a look at the steps for adding these HTML snippets to different website platforms.

WordPress

To embed your HTML snippet on a WordPress site or blog:

1. Go to the post or page where you want to add your schedule.
   
   
2. Click the + Block Inserter icon to add a new block.
   
   
3. Search for ‘Custom HTML’ and select it. You can also type /html on a new line and press Enter to quickly add a new Custom HTML block.
   
   
4. Paste the HTML snippet in the box provided.
   
   
5. Click the ‘Preview’ option in the block toolbar to see how it looks, then hit ‘Publish’ or ‘Update’.

Wix

To add custom HTML in Wix site pages:

1. Navigate to the Settings in your site's dashboard.
   
   
2. Click on ‘Custom Code’ in the Advanced section.
   
   
3. Click + Add Custom Code at the top right of the page.
   
   
4. Paste the code snippet in the text box.
   
   
5. Enter a name for your code (e.g., "PosterMyWall Events Schedule") to help you identify it later.
   
   
6. Select one of the two options under Add Code to Pages:
   1. All pages: This adds the code to all of your site's pages, including new pages you create in the future. Choose whether to load the code only once per visit, or on each page your visitor opens.
   2. Choose specific pages: Use the drop-down menu to select the relevant pages.
      
      
7. Choose where to place your code under Place Code in:

• Head
• Body - start
• Body - end

8. Click Apply.

Squarespace

To embed HTML on a Squarespace site:

1. In the Squarespace editor, open the page where you want your schedule to appear.
   
   
2. Click ‘Edit’ on a section and select ‘+’ to add a block.
   
   
3. Choose the ‘Code’ block.
   
   
4. Paste your PosterMyWall events schedule HTML snippet.
   
   
5. Optional: Toggle ‘Display Source’ off to only show the embed.
   
   
6. Save or publish your changes.

GoDaddy

To add your HTML snippet in GoDaddy Website Builder:

1. Visit your GoDaddy My Products page, scroll down to the Websites + Marketing section, and click Manage next to the website you want to edit. 
2. Select Edit Website or Edit Site to open your site in the website builder.
   
   
3. Navigate to the page and location where you want to add your event schedule. Click on ‘Add Section’, then choose ‘HTML’ under ‘More’
   
   
4. Paste your HTML snippet into the Custom Code field.
   
   
5. All changes are saved automatically. Use Preview to see the results, and if you’re ready for the changes to be made public, publish your site.
