How do I add a QR code to my design?

A QR code is a machine readable code that can store URLs or other information in it. You can scan it with your smartphone camera and instantly get redirected to the link stored in the code. 

You can add a QR code to enhance your design, allowing others to scan and go to a website of your choice. In this guide we'll discuss how you can use a QR code and how to add it to your design. 

Use cases

• Website Link: QR codes link to websites, offering quick access to landing pages, promotions, or product information.
• Event Registration: Flyers include QR codes for event registration, enabling attendees to RSVP, purchase tickets, or access event details.

Adding your QR code

PosterMyWall has a free QR code maker among its many features. Here’s how you can add them to your flyer templates in a few easy steps:

1. To add a QR code, open your design in the editor and click on ‘More’ on the left panel. 
2. Then click ‘QR code’.
3. A QR code will appear on your design.
4. Select the color you want your QR code to be.
5. Resize and position it on your design.
6. Your QR code image is ready to be scanned.

Editing your QR code

Once you've added your QR code, you want to edit it according to your specifications. 

• Add your QR code link in the textbox under QR Content. 
• Under Style, change your QR code's color and/or add a background. We recommend using these options to keep your QR code clear and visible in your design.  
• Use the Position tab to further alter placement by:
  • Moving the QR code in front or behind other design elements.
  • Align the placement with respect to your design canvas.
  • Flip the code to a side. 
  • Lock it in place. 

Add a QR code via mobile

To add a QR code to your design via mobile phone, follow these steps:

On the editor page, tap the ‘Add’ option on the top selection bar and click on ‘QR code’. A QR code will be added to your design.

A QR code will be placed on your design. Select and drag it to move it around and use the selection boxes to change its size. 

To edit your QR code, tap on it and then click arrow icon on the right side of the bottom panel to expand editing your options.

Click 'QR content' to add your site URL. Adjust the color, background, opacity and other settings via the bottom panel.
