How does AI Video work?
Step 1: Open the AI Panel
Inside the PosterMyWall editor, click on the AI panel on the left-hand toolbar, then select AI Video.
Step 2: Describe your video
In the prompt box, enter a text description of what you want to create. Be as specific as possible (e.g., "A close-up shot of hot coffee pouring into a ceramic mug, steam rising, warm morning light").
Step 3: Customize your settings
Note: Pricing may vary depending on the quality and audio settings you pick.
Before generating, you can fine-tune your video using the following options:
- Camera angles: Select your preferred camera angles or movement styles to get the exact look you want.
- Aspect Ratio: Choose between 9:16 (perfect for Stories and Reels) or 16:9 (ideal for landscape displays and YouTube).
- Audio: Specify if you'd like the video to have audio or not.
You have the options to animate the reference images/posters and also use it to guide the AI’s visual style, composition, or subject matter.
Step 4: Preview and add to design
Once you’ve set your preferences, click generate. It takes a short while to process. Nonetheless, you don’t have to wait around for the video to generate; you can continue working on other tasks within the editor while the AI processes your request in the background.
The video generated would be 8 seconds long. Before adding the video to your design, you can see a preview of the video. If you like the result, simply click to add it directly onto your canvas.
If you’d like to make a change, you will need to adjust your text prompt and generate a new video. The AI cannot modify specific elements within that clip.
AI-generated videos of singular objects (like a product shot) are also compatible with our AI Background Remover feature. Remove the background to seamlessly blend the video into your graphic layout.
Additionally, try layering video effect overlays (like shadow, glow, edge effects, etc) on top of your AI video to give your design an extra oomph.

From your Dashboard menu, click Create With AI to open the prompt interface.

You can request to animate a reference image.
Additionally, you can use the reference image as a visual guide for the AI to understand the style, color palette, or composition you want. The AI will generate a brand-new video inspired by your image and text prompt rather than simply animating the static file.
Q. Can I use my own music track instead of AI-generated audio?
Yes! If you want to use your own audio file or a track from the PosterMyWall library, we recommend turning the AI audio setting off (saving you 3 credits). Once the video is on your canvas, you can upload and layer your own audio track over it.
Q. What happens if my video generation fails?
In the rare event of a system error or a failed generation due to technical issues, your credits will not be deducted (or they will be automatically reversed).
