Create with AI

Step 1: Access PosterMyWall AI

• Click Create with AI on the left panel, or start a chat directly from the chat box on the main page

Step 2: Write your prompt

Type what kind of poster you want to create. You can also use an audio prompt if you'd rather describe it out loud. Be as specific as possible about:

• Occasion/goal — what the poster is for (sale, event, opening, etc.)
• Colors — e.g., "warm autumn palette"
• Exact text — the wording you want to appear on the poster
• Style/tone — e.g., "modern minimalist" or "cozy and festive"

You can also upload a reference image, add a sample design, or capture a photo, to help the AI understand your style. You can ask it to match colors, layouts, or overall tone based on what you upload.

Alternatively, you can choose a template from the gallery and customize that using text prompts.

Step 3: Review the result

Once the AI generates your poster, you can refine it with follow-up instructions, no need to start over. Try:

• "Make this more brightly colored"
• "Change the style to look more casual"

Step 4: Fine-tune in the editor (Optional)

Customize templates

To get started with designing your poster on PosterMyWall, head over to the My Stuff, and click 'New design'.

Navigate to 'Designs' in the top menu bar, where you can access a variety of templates. Alternatively, you create a design from scratch by using the 'Create' button located at the top right corner of the page.

Using a template allows you to use and edit your picked template's layout, saving you time and effort in creating a new design from scratch. 

Templates are divided into categories. Choose the category that best serves your needs. If you don't find the right category, you can use the search dialogue at the top of the page. Use the image/video and size filters to refine your search parameters. 

Once you've picked a template, click 'Edit Design' to open it in the editor. 

In the editor, you can make changes to the template using all kinds of editing tools: 

• AI Images - generate your own visuals from text prompts.
• AI Video - create high-quality, custom video clips directly inside the editor using simple text prompts.
• AI Background Remover - make your media look more clean and polished by removing unwanted background in one click. 
• AI Subtitles - convert your audio to text in the language of your choice.
• AI Voice- generate human-like voiceovers for videos in your desired tone. 
• Text - add and edit existing text boxes. You can change font, color, and size and apply effects to your text. See our video guide on adding text. You can also use text presets to add pre-styles typography and font pairings instantly.
• Layout - Add a schedule, menu, table, or tear-off tabs or QR-code. Fine-tune your layout to get the best results. 
• Draw - draw freehand anywhere on the design.
• Background - Add a solid, gradient, or transparent background. Alternatively. You can choose to add your own background or select from stock photos. 
• Resize - Want to change the dimensions of your design? You can select a new size, and your items will adjust accordingly.
• Add shapes, clipart, stickers and social media icons. You can choose from a vast library of fun elements.

Once you're done, just save your design, using the save button at the top right of the editor. The design will now be available in your Designs. 

You can choose to download free and share it on social media. The free standard image is great for sharing online but may not give the best prints. If you want to print flyers or handouts, use the standard image download, and if you want a large, blown-up poster or banner, use the high-res image.

Here’s how you can create a poster using the PosterMyWall mobile app:

• Create with AI, or start on a blank design. You can choose from a range of preset sizes and themes.

• Once you have selected an option, you will be directed to the editor page.
• Use the “Add” feature at the bottom left corner to add photos, videos, text, and stickers to your design.
